Special members event January 25th-26th….


Winter camping overnight adventure in a rustic refuge at Kouchibouguac National Park on Saturday January 25, 2019.  The trail is an easy 8 kms for snowshoeing from the bridge on route 117 to the refuge in the South Kouchibouguac campground. On the return trip Sunday, we could possibly use another trail  ( 8-10 kms) depending on the weather conditions. In the refuge, accommodations include a wood stove for heat and warming food, 6 sleeping platforms, 3-4 picnic tables inside the refuge, and a outhouse.

Limited spaces available. 

Please confirm your attendance as soon as possible.

Items needed for the adventure:

• Snowshoes

• backpack

• sleeping bag, pillow and mat

• food ( 2 lunches, 1 dinner and 1 breakfast plus snacks)

•  water ( no potable water available)

• headlamp

• cooking utensils/ cleaning materials

• camp stove ( optional)

• personal toiletries

• change of clothes
